Online Resources

Here is a guide to some of the library resources which may be useful for your Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) or international accounting standards (Standards) assignments.

Here are a few websites with information on SOX or Standards. Searching the web (with a search engine such as Google) is a good way to find various viewpoints on the act by discovering what the government, professional organizations, companies, etc. have to say about it, as in these examples. As with all sources of information, you need to be careful to evaluate the accuracy and bias of anything you find. In particular, there are many websites offering information on the SOX that are created by companies hoping to make money by offering consulting, software, or other services related to compliance, and you need to take this motive into account when evaluating the information they provide.

Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)

Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB)
